**The Organisation**

Timaru District Council aims to enable democratic local decision-making and action by, and on behalf of communities, to promote the social, economic, environmental, and cultural well-being of its communities in the present and for the future. With around 400 staff, there are a diverse range of roles from community facing roles to support and technical specialists.

**The Role / Person**

TDC’S Data Governance team are an integral hub for all Council data, especially data relating to property. We’re on the lookout for an individual who understands and values the importance of data integrity

You will also process and maintain subdivisions relating to land parcels in our Authority database and Geographical Information Systems.

Not too sure what we are after? We’re looking for an individual who has the ability to programme and organise work to keep tidy and functional records. Knowledge of GIS base systems would be an advantage, coupled with the ability to read and accurately interpret information in map and plan form.

You’ll be technically capable with strong analytical and communication skills and have an eye for detail. Your can do attitude, problem solving skills and ability to interpret data will be essential. Experience in the use of corporate databases (Authority).

This position is a permanent full-time (40 hours per week). The salary range for this position is $68,627 to $80,738 per annum.
