We are seeking a talented Community Awareness Lead to join our team at Blind Low Vision NZ.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to join our Community and Inclusion department where you’ll have the opportunity to connect to community and reach audiences with relevant content for both community and blind, deafblind and low vision people. This will include:
- Growing awareness of vision loss and matters relevant to the blind, deafblind and low vision population, within community
- Identifying and developing structured programmes to raise awareness and influence systemic change
- Leading Blind Low Vision NZ’s network of Ambassadors to deliver consistency in messaging and outcomes in community
**Ko wai koe | About you**:
To enable you to hit the ground running, we’re looking for some who brings:
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in the disability sector in New Zealand
- Public speaking experience
- Sales experience
- Understanding of the vision loss community in Aotearoa New Zealand.
- A strong communicator with an ability to adapt to their audience
- Target driven and an ability to meet deadlines
- Inclusion first mindset
