Auckland City, New Zealand Flux Federation Full time

**ABOUT FLUX**:
We design and build cloud-based energy retail software for global businesses. We're passionate about designing smart solutions to complex problems, and enabling energy businesses to thrive in the rapidly decarbonising energy economy. Because we work remotely, one of the ways we make sure we're all on the same page is by embracing our Values: Greatness, Impact and Connection.

**THE ROLE**:
The Senior Product Manager is a key member of the Product team at Flux, providing strategic product leadership that drives great customer outcomes and commercial results for our clients and for Flux.

Product Managers at Flux champion the product and are responsible for the value delivered to our clients and their customers. You need to be an evangelist who is constantly interrogating the market and your own thinking. You'll inspire, challenge and uphold high standards of work.

You'll look after the full lifecycle of your product, from problem definition, through discovery, validation, execution and refinement. You'll be skilled at the delivery of software value, articulating a vision, documenting decisions, measuring efficacy, and reporting back to your collaborators and business leaders.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing product owners and ensuring they are growing their product and delivery skills. You'll be accountable for engaging our Design Research, Product Design and Engineering teams in your work.

**HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT**:

- Ensuring consistent and quality delivery of value to our clients.
- Driving delivery and related process improvements to help Flux become more efficient.
- Seeking inspiration and sharing your knowledge openly and generously

**FOR YOUR PRODUCT, YOU WILL**:

- Be the steward of quality and delivery of value, scoping and prioritising activities based on business and customer impact
- Translate product strategy into tangible outcomes for the business
- Identify and fill product gaps, and collaboratively generate new ideas that improve client outcomes and drive Flux's growth
- Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with clients and other key external partners
- Test and learn rapidly; constantly delivering value
- Scope and prioritise activities based on business and customer impact
- Work with product marketing, customer success and service delivery on go-to-market and customer support strategies
- Act as a product evangelist to build passion, awareness and understanding of our products throughout Flux
- Be completely focused on solving problems for our clients and be a positive ambassador for Flux with our clients
- Collaborate with all team members, especially your fellow Product Managers and Engineering leaders, to constantly improve our product management practice
- Continually build your product management skills through all stages of the work lifecycle, and championing the same across the product team and wider business
- Create and maintain a growth and learning environment for both yourself and your direct reports
- Mentor less experienced members of the product team in product practice and other key skills required for them to progress professionally

**IDEALLY, YOU'LL BRING THE FOLLOWING**:

- Extensive work experience in product management in software and SaaS environments
- Proven track record of consistent delivery of value
- Comfortable with working in environments with high-level ambiguity
- Comfortable with consistent change - at Flux we do not sit still
- A track record of managing, mentoring and growing junior product managers or product owners is preferred
- A drive to make our product better for our clients and a drive to improve internal processes and approaches to make Flux more efficient in delivering value
- Highly collaborative and comfortable with your measures of success being held jointly with your engineering partner
- Proven track record managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
- Able to balance the needs of the users with other stakeholders, including senior leaders on the client side and internal stakeholders within your organisation
- Excellent collaborator, highly skilled in guiding challenging conversations and persuasion techniques
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves and get stuck in
- Strong stakeholder management - the ability to sell the product vision to multiple levels of stakeholders and drive challenging discussions with grace
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to set and maintain product goals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

**WHY FLUX?**
- We care about creating sustainable business. We're interested in building transformative energy products that help our planet meet our decarbonisation needs
- Our people are at the heart of what we do. We know career progression and professional development is important to you, that's why we are committed to providing ongoing growth and learning opportunities
