As a Field Sales Manager, your responsibility is to provide guidance, coaching, and development for our field sales team. Your role will be pivotal in achieving our business's profit and market share goals, focusing on sales activations, resource management, and outlet execution. You will play a key role in acquiring and renewing on-premise and off-premise volume through effective trade networks and customer relationships, as well as precinct planning aligned with our strategy. Your ability to consistently meet sales targets, foster team growth, and provide regional strategic clarity will make you an integral part of our success.
**You will responsible for**:
Leadership
- Effective articulation of Business & Channel strategy both internally and externally in a manner that customers and the field team can relate to.
- Providing effective leadership of the Field Sales Team - agreeing clear objectives, priorities, processes, and measurement
- Assist in the development and implementation of an ongoing culture plan for the region.
- Ensure there is structured career planning and development in place for your direct reports and that this is regularly monitored and updated in consultation with your people.
Customer Service and Channel Activation
- Positively influence customer satisfaction by ensuring activation of channel & brand plans.
- Developing and maintaining customer relationships & satisfaction through the delivery of agreed customer service levels via multiple contact points.
- Ensuring compliance of customer agreements
- Executional Excellence
- Manage the achievement of MSOP standards.
- Promote an “Executional Excellence” mindset, where continuous improvement is always front of mind, and EOE & PICOS priorities are delivered upon.
- Ensuring all sales activations to customers are managed in a professional manner, to the required achievement level, within stipulated timelines.
- Effectively manage resources, overheads, and customer promotional funds to budget and agreed targets.
- Engage and partner with Sales Acceleration team to drive executional excellence.
DB Breweries Measurements
- Achievement of DB Breweries Profit, Volume and Share targets within the Sales Region
- Achievement of strategic brand regional performance objectives (share/price)
- Customer Satisfaction measured in Coalface reporting and Customer Gauge reporting.
- Oversee the overall design, implementation, and success of RGR plans for growth.
Health & Safety
- Adherence to all health & safety best practice policy and processes.
- Attendance and completion of safety training as required.
- Report all workplace accidents, incidents, near misses and any potential workplace hazards.
- to the relevant Health and Safety representative
- Support and promote DB Health and Safety policy and systems.
**Your background & experience**:
- Tertiary qualification in Business or Commerce (preferred)
- Proven success as sales professional in FMCG industry
- Coaching and developing

- Understanding of/experience in the hospitality and retail industry
