Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty works with the 18 iwi of the region through our Māori Health Runanga to improve the health of our Māori population. Working in partnership with other health service providers and communities, the Information Services team designs and delivers data solutions to meet the changing needs of our population and determines how best to provide services to maximise health outcomes for our population. He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the RoleAn exciting opportunity has become available for a Principal Data Analyst to join the Business Intelligence Team at Te Whata Ora - Health New Zealand, Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty.Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty has a strong reputation for data services within the healthcare community and this role is part of taking that existing provision to the next level. Your technical expertise, allied with existing skills in the team, will build on rapid developments made to meet near-real-time data needs through the pandemic and solidify developments as part of business as usual for the entire team.This position ensures data asset protection and productivity through the provision of consistent, quality assured data that aligns with Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty's information requirements and data management policies. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the data and ensuring that data structures, models and processes are timely, secure and support the presentation of data analysis.
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) based at Tauranga Hospital; there may be a requirement to travel between Tauranga and Whakatane as required.
