**Te kāinga iho pūmanawa - A Place Where Talent Wants to Live**. - Strong commercial/industry ecosystem knowledge and relationships - Understanding of the commercialisation pathway for NZ's emerging and leading innovators - Workshop facilitation skills and knowledge of strategy and innovation methodologies **Fixed Term or Permanent + Hybrid + Flexible work hours + Laptop + Smartphone** The Commercialisation team works directly with individual companies and across targeted sectors to help accelerate the commercialisation of high-tech R&D and innovation. **About the Role** As Business Innovation Advisor you will work alongside high potential R&D led businesses to help them grow and contribute to the future of New Zealand's economy and society. We are flexible in that, this can be a 12 month fixed term contract or a permanent role **Location** **About You - what you will bring** - Specialist industry knowledge in web3 and decentralised internet technologies (digital identity, decentralised autonomous organisations, blockchain, crypto assets, decentralised finance, non-fungible tokens) or specialist knowledge in the CleanTech or Construction sectors. - Strong industry ecosystem knowledge and relationships, to make connections and facilitate partnerships - Strong stakeholder/partnership/community engagement skills - Mentoring & coaching skills for deep tech innovators - Business acumen including strategic planning and execution, business model innovation, and business case evaluation - Workshop facilitation skills and knowledge of strategy and innovation methodologies - An understanding of the commercialisation pathway for New Zealand's emerging and leading innovators both broadly and within your field of expertise, experience taking technology-based products from concept to market would be advantageous - A commitment to the partnership principles of Te Tiriti - A growth mindset with a focus on self-development and growth **Why work for us** Callaghan Innovation is New Zealand's innovation agency.
