The role of the Library is to support and enhance learning, teaching and research at the University of Otago. We do this by directly aligning library services with University priorities and strategic imperatives, and by working in partnership with staff, students, and other stakeholders.

**_The role/Te mahi_**

As a Library Assistant within the Client Services unit, you will work as a member of a friendly team to support the provision of a range of customer services to the University of Otago Community.

You will assist in the support of activities including:

- Customer services to Library users at service points.
- Collection management activities.
- Security and safety of Library materials and facilities.
- Contributing to the function of a high performing team.

**_Your skills and experience/Kā pūkeka me kā wheako_**
- Experience in customer service delivery, both face-to-face and online.
- You organise your work efficiently with a focus on the quality of your service to customers.
- You have some experience with Library online catalogues and research article databases.
- A tertiary-level qualification would be advantageous for this position.
