Multi-disciplinary (Gym Instructor)

Moana Pool Gym is a busy and friendly community fitness centre, where individuals can feel safe to pursue their personal exercise and health goals. Our Gym Instructors assist new and current members exercise in a safe and effective manner and have an exciting opportunity for a gym instructor to join the team on a casual basis.

We are looking for people with a broad knowledge of the principles of exercise who have professional fitness leadership and instruction skills. This could be a great way of gaining experience in the industry if you are starting out in your fitness career.

Ideally you will:

• be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds
• be able to display confidence in an exercise instruction setting, provide enthusiastic instruction, motivation and assistance to patrons helping them reach their personal fitness goals
• have great customer service, communication and motivational skills as well as knowledge of exercise prescription for a broad demographic of people and be proactive in your approach to working with people.

These positions require you to hold and maintain a current Tertiary level Exercise Prescription qualification and a Comprehensive Workplace First Aid Certificate and be available for work Monday through Sunday between the hours of 5.15am and 9.00pm.

Hours may increase in the future as well as the opportunity to move into the group fitness instruction space - full training can be provided.
