We are seeking a dynamic and strategic-minded individual to join our team as a Senior Advisor - Strategic Asset Management Planning. As stewards of community assets, we aim to manage them effectively for the benefit of current and future generations.

We are a small team of five that guides and directs the management of councils $16B of assets. Working closely with the service units, you will support good asset management practice lifting the overall maturity of asset management across council.

This key position plays a crucial role in supporting Asset Management improvement initiatives to lift the Asset Management maturity and capability across the Council. As a Senior Advisor, you will:

- Assist in the revision of Council's asset management system (policy, strategy, standard operating procedures, and frameworks such as asset criticality and condition), contributing to maturity assessments and related improvement programmes
- Ensure Asset Management improvements align with Council priorities and legislative requirements, contributing towards improvement in AM Maturity
- Support the development of Asset Management Plans, Infrastructure Strategy, Long Term and Annual Plans
- Engage with business units across Council and be dedicated to championing asset management excellence

**About you | Ko Koe Tēnei**

Our ideal applicant will have:

- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or extensive experience in Asset management planning
- At least five years' experience in a similar environment
- A sound understanding of formal guidelines such as NAMS, IPWEA International Infrastructure Management Manual (IIMM)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ideally, experience using asset management systems, including but not limited to SAP, GIS, RAMM, BIM, SCADA and Infonet
- The ability to work both collaboratively and independently, with a focus on meeting timeframes and objectives
- The ability to build rapport quickly and foster strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to establish visions and targets
