This role is responsible for the planning, specification, prioritisation and delivery oversight of the Rail, Ferry and Rapid Transit Stations capital programmes for Auckland Transport.

Whilst not responsible for capital and renewal budgets, the post holder will support the development of projects submitted for consideration in annual budget planning exercises, such as the RLTP, and supports the specifications of planned and future rail and ferry programmes, across multiple internal and external stakeholders.

**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**
- Attending internal delivery team meetings to review matters arising and provide decisions required in relation to capital programme matters.
- Ensuring that our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and decisions are made that protect and optimise the public transport network.
- Reprioritising capital programme elements in response to unforeseen budgetary matters of project cost and scope escalations.
- Prepare project mandates for the Capital Delivery team that outlines scope and priority for detailed investigations / project delivery for future enhancements of rail, ferry, including initiatives for First and Final Leg improvements.
- Act as the interface between train and ferry services managers and the Capital Delivery teams, to ensure that all PT infrastructure development is progressed to meet business needs to a standard that can be effectively and efficiently managed.
- Provide several technically correct, but informative and appropriately worded Customer Responses for Infrastructure Rapid Response Coordinator who manages the interface and workflow into and out of the team.

- A relevant tertiary qualification
- Preferred project and programme management qualification
- GIS /Information management technical skills
- Minimum 7 years' experience in Public Transport/transport related role.
- Experience in project and programme management and risk assessment
