This position is critical to ensuring railway assets are fully prepared for safe & reliable operation and maintenance following Practical Completion.

**The Role**:
The Rail Maintenance Readiness Manager is responsible for the technical leadership, process definition, control, and monitoring as well as overall project coordination of FRACAS, maintenance prior to PC, and the Trial Operations maintenance test cases.

**Key tasks and responsibilities**:

- Develop and coordinate Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals in line with project and contractual requirements.
- Establish preventive maintenance schedules for critical assets to ensure system reliability before PC.
- Develop, implement and maintain the Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS).
- Support trial operations by developing test plans and validating maintenance procedures, tools, and systems for operational readiness.
- Oversee the Asset Engineer to deliver the Asset Register deliverables.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure Operation & Maintenance documentation is transferred seamlessly.
- Identify and resolve potential failure risks by conducting early diagnostic testing and performance assessments.
- Provide technical support for identifying training needs for each technical system, defining training objectives and supporting technical meetings.
- Engage with suppliers and engineering teams to develop, review, and approve spare parts list.

**About You**:

- 8+ years of experience in major railway construction/O&M project
- 8+ Years in Systems Engineering and Systems Validation
- Significant experience in Railway FRACAS & Handover Process implementation
- Experience in Systems configuration and migration
- Knowledge of platform testing and field testing on communications related system
- Experience in metro system
- Advanced Excel Expertise: VBA & Macros

**Conditions of Work**:
**Location**: Auckland central
**Conditions of employment**:Full-time, fixed term contract
**Duration of contract**:Until April 2026
**Salary Band**: $135,000 - $ 140,000 per annum and according to experience
**Hours of work**:Please note that this role is minimum of 40 hours and all successful applicants will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test & medical.
