Risk, Compliance and Legal Services Group is responsible for leading the development and embedding of a broad Risk, Compliance and Legal strategy and function for Te Pūtea Matua, as well as leading the implementation of a fit-for-purpose Enterprise Risk and Compliance Framework and ensure there are effective practices of continuous improvement across Te Pūtea Matua.
Te tūranga - The role As part of the expansion of the Risk and Compliance area we are looking for an experienced, forward thinking and future focussed individual to join as a Principal Resilience Adviser. You'll be working closely with the Director of Risk and Compliance by continuing to develop and deliver the RBNZ's disaster and emergency management frameworks. With your previous experience and knowledge you will ensure our organisational resilience practices, behaviours and attitudes are embedded and embraced by Te Pūtea Matua directorates and staff in their day-to-day activities.Key responsibilities include:

- Maintaining a fit-for-purpose roadmap for the development of organisational resilience and adoption of a 4R's (Reduction-Readiness-Response-Recovery) approach at Te Pūtea Matua in keeping with changing maturity and needs.
- Provide best practice, expert advice and practical support on organisational resilience strategy, implementation and monitoring.
- Coach, motivate, support and grow the capability and knowledge of the Risk and Compliance Team enabling individual team members to reach their full potential.

Ō pūkenga - About youYou are someone who has significant knowledge, education, and practical experience in organisational resilience, incident management, and business continuity or related disciplines. You will have worked at a senior level in a state agency, ideally leading the delivery of organisational resilience functions and interface with the National Security System.You will also bring to this role:

- Exceedingly capable communication skills with highly developed listening, questioning, influencing and facilitation skills.
- The ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Significant personal resilience and the ability to maintain professional focus, deportment and delivery during times of crisis, while monitoring and maintaining wellbeing of self and others.
- Experience with Incident Management and/or the NZ Coordinated Incident Management System (CIMS).
