We have a newly established Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) and we're looking for a visionary Senior Portfolio Analyst to join us and influence the direction of the New Zealand Intelligence Community (NZIC) Investment Portfolio.
Join us at a pivotal time as we grow our EPMO and bring clarity and strategic insight to the NZIC.
**Key responsibilities**
As a Senior Portfolio Analyst, you'll actively work with sub-portfolios to assess and report on delivery progress and risk across the enterprise portfolio of projects and programmes. You'll play a critical role in enabling the agencies to prioritise and manage change by bringing your expertise to develop actionable advice to senior leaders and key NZIC governance bodies.
Another key responsibility is supporting the NZIC to sustain and grow its organisational capabilities by providing advice and analysis that enables investment proposals to progress through our investment management system.

**Who we're looking for**
We're looking for a forward-thinking professional with a passion for turning complexity into clarity. Your experience in portfolio or business analytics, alongside performance insights reporting, will be key to your success in this role.
You will ideally bring:
- An in-depth understanding of portfolio management principles, processes, tools and documentation.
- Strong ability to build relationships, work collaboratively with diverse teams and influence at senior levels.
- Self-motivation, innovation and a natural drive to make a difference.
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to adapt to the unexpected and unique environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
**Before you apply**
Working within our unique environment means we have to ensure you're eligible for employment.
You must:
- Have been a New Zealand Citizen for at least 10 years
OR
Hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of the UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years
- Be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance
- Ordinarily, this means you'll have a 15 year checkable background in countries NZSIS Vetting can make meaningful and reliable checks.
**The appointing range for this role is $103,009 - $109,876.
