Our three **Commercial and Institutional Performance** teams provide advice to Ministers on the Crown's ownership interest in approximately 50 Crown companies and entities in the Infrastructure, Services and Investment sectors, including some of the largest companies in New Zealand. Our aim is to ensure that these companies are overseen to optimise performance, manage risk and enhance value to support future intergenerational wellbeing.

**Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role**
We currently have an opportunity for a **Portfolio Data Analyst** in our team. In this role you will be responsible for developing financial models for entities and/or entire portfolio of entities; system and process improvement including updates to CFISnet and corresponding worksheets; maintaining a high standard of portfolio data management, analysis and presentation; and, conducting research and analysis of sector and comparable peer company information relevant to the Crown's commercial portfolio. This work supports the performance monitoring function of Commercial and Institutional Performance and to enable portfolio analysis that underpins shareholder policy more broadly.
In addition to the performance data and analytics focus of your role, we are looking to you to use your written communication skills to draft commentary for performance monitoring advice to Ministers.
**Ō pūmanawa | About You**
In addition to your proven technical skills in data extraction, manipulation and financial analysis, you will have:
- Experience and practical knowledge of financial markets,
- Experience or desire to learn how to use Bloomberg or similar market data platforms,
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders, including understanding different stakeholders' motivations and the ability to influence and persuade,
- Excellent oral and written communication skills,
- Highly effective planning and organisational skills, including time management and prioritising work in a complex work environment,
- An ability to work constructively in a team environment, and
