**Core Responsibilities**:
Commercial Leadership- P&L accountability for the entire LEGO New Zealand business.-
- Responsible for the commercial (sales and marketing) strategy and execution to meet Gross Revenue, Consumer Sales and Brand Health (Active Consumer Base) targets.-
- Lead and be responsible for the planning and development of New Zealand GTM, investment, & channel strategy to unlock strategic market & channel opportunities for further growth in collaboration with BU and regional partners.-
- Manage and grow successful top-to-top working relationships and partnerships with our strategic customers and partners.People Leadership- Direct people leadership for sales team and indirect office employee leadership of all Business Unit functions in the New Zealand office.-
- Provide site leadership and be responsible for general health, safety, and office management for LEGO New Zealand employees.-
- Build a positive and empowering environment to motivate all functional teams to work collaboratively to succeed together and deliver the performance expectations of LEGO New Zealand.-
- Create strong capability development plans and articulate learning pathways for the LEGO New Zealand Team.-
- Create sound succession plans and build a talent pipeline for LEGO New Zealand and the wider LEGO Organisation.-
- Lead role model and embed the LEGO Values & Leadership Playground Values in the LEGO New Zealand office.Strategic Leadership- Engage with the LEGO ANZ leadership team to set the overall strategy for the ANZ BU, and identify areas of focus around agility, transformation, decision making, ways of working and innovation.-
- Through the ANZ LT, create an environment of collaboration across functions, and build trust and openness across the organisation.-
- Engage and provide thought leadership in the Channel Leadership Forum, to ensure alignment to the overall commercial plan and initiatives.-
- Network with the relevant colleagues and teams across the APAC region, with the ambition to collaborate and drive continuous improvement.**Play your part in our team succeeding**:
LEGO New Zealand has been operating for over 30 years and been enjoyed success with decades of continuous growth. The LEGO NZ team is 12 in total and consists mainly of Operations and Sales functions. The Country Manager leads the New Zealand market and has primary responsibility for sales, and reports directly to the General Manager and Vice President for LEGO ANZ.
**Do you have what it takes?**:
- Qualification in a business-related field or equivalent working experience would be preferred.-
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience and a proven record of success in business performance, leadership, and marketing in trend setting, brand-focused companies, retail, or FMCG industries.-
- Experience & understanding of the ANZ market in successful GTM strategy and execution, opening new channels, and market expansion.-
- Equivalent experience operating in multi-matrix organisational leadership, both direct and indirect, beyond one's own area of responsibility.-
- Strong communication and people leadership skills are needed in engagement with both internal and external partners.-
- Willingness to establish a strong sense of team accountability, regardless of functional hierarchy.-
- High resilience in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment.-
- Must have a commercial mentality and as an individual be persistent and have a high drive/can-do mentality and a high degree of self-motivation.-
- Strong passion for working cross functionally (sales, marketing, operation and leadership) and embed the full responsibility of running the LEGO business in New Zealand.-
- Ability to think strategically while still focusing on immediate short term tasks.-
- Ability to influence and negotiate with a range of varied partners internally & externally.-
- Proven ability to people leadership and with high degree of trust.-
- Ability to work independently and to collaborate within a team.-
- Open to travel to Australia, domestic NZ and Singapore once per year.#LI-BN1
