In our Transport space at Auckland Transport, we are passionate about connecting people and communities and working collaboratively to ensure the comfort and safety of Aucklanders on our public transport network. As a Transport Officer no day is the same. You'll work across rail, bus, ferry and key interchanges, work outside and be physically active, and connect with a diverse group of customers.

You'll also:

- Be a champion for equality on our public transport network
- Help customers board and disembark our transport vehicles and navigate the transport network
- Be part of an excellent detailed induction program and full coaching to fully assist in developing your techniques, combining empathy and people skills to educate. Offering our customer a safe transport experience
- Prevent and/or minimise accidents, incidents, conflicts or harm events
- Actively engage and educate about fare evasion

We are looking for people who:

- Are able to remain calm in challenging situations
- Have great customer service experience

**_ If you are successful you will _**
- Begin your journey with six weeks of comprehensive training to become a warranted officer.
- Start on a base salary of $54,700 which will increase once training has concluded and as you gain more experience in the role.
- Get additional allowances of a meal and tea break for every shift.
- Work on a rotating seven-day roster. See the bottom of the advert for more details on the shifts.
- Be provided with a fully fitted uniform and have lots of opportunity for growth and development

- With current Covid 19 alert level status in Auckland it may be required for interviews to be held via MS Teams. Don't worry, were a friendly bunch on video as well as in person_

**Shift work details**

40 hours a week, Monday and Friday, alternating one week on morning shifts and the next week on afternoon shifts. You will also work one weekend a month.
- Morning shifts _

6am - 2:30pm

6:20am - 2:50pm

6:30am - 3pm
- Afternoon shifts_

12:50pm - 9:20pm

1:10pm - 9:40pm

1:30pm - 10pm
