Hineuru Iwi Trust is seeking a culturally grounded and visionary Chief Executive to lead our Iwi into its next phase of growth and impact. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to serve Hineuru, ensuring that our cultural, social, environmental, and economic aspirations are realised for current and future generations.

As the Chief Executive, you will demonstrate a deep understanding, competency and experience of Te Ao Māori, reo me ona tikanga, and kawa, with the ability to lead with cultural authenticity and integrity. You will be an influential and inspiring leader, with a strong connection to Hineuru Iwi and broad networks across Aotearoa NZ. You will be committed to advancing the mana motuhake of Hineuru, strengthening the Hineuru's voice and presence locally, regionally, and nationally.

You will bring proven experience in leading a successful organisation or enterprise—ideally in a kaupapa Māori, iwi, or Maori development context. Your leadership will be critical in working with Hineuru’s investments and assist in supporting investment performance, organisational development, and programme delivery.

Relationship building with Hineuru Iwi and partnership engagement with Maori, government and industry are central to this role. You will be confident in working with iwi members and kaumātua, and skilled at maintaining strong, respectful partnerships with Māori organisations, local and central government, and industry stakeholders. Your ability to navigate across both Māori and mainstream environments will be key to growing influence and impact for Hineuru.
This is a leadership role for a person of high integrity, humility, strategic thinking, and commitment to the development of Hineuru.
