Ngā kawenga | About the role
As the Site Learning & Development Lead, your role is to provide site leadership in building the capability of on-site teams. Specifically, you will work alongside the Prison Director and site leadership to develop and deliver plans and interventions aimed at supporting and encouraging Ara Poutama Aotearoa staff to be curious and continuously learning.

**Other key focus areas for the role are**:

- Primary navigator for staff on site to access and connect to learning services
- Work connectedly with regional and national teams to facilitate and deliver a wide range of learning and development opportunities
- Strongly connected to custodial practice
- Oversee support for new recruits as they progress through their initial pathways

He kōrero mōu | About you
To be effective in this role you will need to have a good understanding of how adults learn and new ways in which learning can be designed and delivered as well as a good knowledge of the Department's L&D frameworks, pathways and systems. You'll be comfortable and confident in leading and facilitating learning and use of multiple technologies.
With a natural style to work collaboratively and build strong relationships you will be the site champion and navigator for access to learning services.
You will have a genuine interest for working within a site that is focussed on achieving objectives and better outcomes for the people we manage, you must have a thorough working knowledge and understanding of Hōkai Rangi and be able to articulate and demonstrate this.

**Along with the above you will also need to demonstrate**:

- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Group facilitation skills and experience in the delivery of training
- Coaching and practice knowledge and skills
- Well developed computer skills and knowledge of a variety of learning tools and platforms

Utu ā-tau | Salary
The salary range for this position is $84,315 - $88,397. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
