**A little bit about the role**:
The Shipping Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of Kathmandu’s shipping operations. This position is responsible for coordinating international shipments, managing shipping documentation, piece barcode requirements, reviewing reports and communicating shipping related issues that have an impact on the wider business. The Shipping Coordinator works closely with internal teams, suppliers, and freight forwarders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. This role is essential for supporting the company's commercial goals.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Supplier and Shipment Management: Working with suppliers to resolve booking and documentation issues and manage shipment tracking to ensure timely receipt of all required paperwork.
- Document Processing: Reviewing and verifying shipping documents for compliance with import requirements, maintaining accurate shipping records.
- RRP/Barcode Management: Upload RRPs into the purchase order management tools, confirm new barcodes, ensuring alignment with company standards, and manage barcode-related issues with the system and suppliers.
- General and Project Support: Creating manual invoices and documents and support Senior Shipping Specialist with seasonal projects.
- Reporting and Analysis: Analysing daily reports, identify trends, and provide updates on key performance metrics and operational challenges.

- Ability to work under pressure with a strong attention to detail.
- Showcase a willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders.
**Qualifications and Experience Required**:
- 3+ years’ experience in a freight forwarding position.
- Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (minimum intermediate level).
- Exposure to the customs clearance process.
- Knowledge of International Supply Chain/Understanding of key supply chain terms e.g. Inco Terms.
- Supply Chain Management Qualification (not essential but good to have).
