We are looking for an **Inwards Goods Supervisor** to join our **Christchurch team**. The main focus of this role is to assist in managing the accurate and efficient operation of the department through managing the inwards goods. The role: - Full time, permanent - Based at Cumnor Terrace, Woolston, Christchurch - Hours: Monday To Friday, 8 am to 5 pm and rostered Saturday - Competitive pay package - Excellent training & development opportunities The job responsibilities: Some of the main job responsibilities are: a) Assist in coordinating internal logistics work with those involved in the in-house movement of supplies and with the transportation resources of goods. b) Monitor stock levels and ensure timely delivery of orders. c) Ensure documentation of domestic inwards freight is accurate and comply with the relevant regulations and guidelines. d) To check and verify shipping records, handle questions or concerns of shipping shortages or overages and address problems with inventory control. e) Ensure proper compliance and adherence to all appropriate health and safety regulations and cleanliness requirements f) Prepare the necessary consignment notes, customs documentation and ensure compliance to administration regulations. g) Assist in warehouse compliance for inventory management, cycle counting, product handling, and other services as required. h) Assist in providing proactive communications and solutions for distribution issues. i) Managing the consistence and quality of goods and ensure appropriate stock rotation to reduce wastage. About you: You will be a dynamic person who can manage the handling and storage inward goods. Previous NZ experience and/or knowledge in the warehouse of a similar industry is beneficial. - Knowledge and/or experience of inwards goods management - Basic knowledge of techniques for maximising the effective storage and handling of goods - Forklift licence - Clean NZ driver's licence - High degree of accuracy and attention to detail - Proven record of reliability and a team player - Reasonably good literacy and basic computer skills - Good communication skills - Multitasking ability and physically fit - Positive and "can do" attitude and adaptable approach - Ability to work under pressure. **Does this role sound like you?** **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Employee discount Schedule: - 8 hour shift
