Liquor, Chilled and Frozen Foods Manager

New World St Martins is a leading provider of fresh food and grocery products, committed to delivering exceptional quality and customer service. This is a rare opportunity to lead one of Christchurch's flag ship stores as our new Liquor, Chilled and Frozen Foods Manager.

This is a hands-on role including promotional planning, buying, and maintaining high standards of merchandising and presentation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of the liquor, chilled and frozen departments
  • Maintaining high standards of product presentation and merchandising
  • Upholding all Food Health & Safety requirements
  • Coordinate the liquor, chilled and frozen teams to maximise efficiency.
  • Stock ordering, inventory control, and minimising waste
  • Driving sales while achieving gross profit and wage budgets
  • Delivering exceptional customer service and satisfaction
  • Identifying opportunities to grow and innovate within the departments.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships

Qualifications:

  • Previous supervisor or management role preferred.
  • Experience with SAP
  • Strong knowledge of the Sale of Liquor Act and other regulations.
  • Forklift / Reach truck experience preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
