Office Manager

We are delighted to represent our client who specializes in construction projects, they have a rare opportunity come up for an Office Manager to join their team
Based in West Auckland New Lynn, your hours would be Monday - Friday with normal office hours. You will have previous experience working in an Office and this role will be suitedfor someone who likes various tasks and is confident. You will be in charge of providing administration support and also project management along with ensuring processes go smoothly.
Youll need to have the right attitude, heaps of initiative, the ability to pick up internal systems, and the ability to handle a high workload. You will need to provide excellent administration services to a team made up of members with different needs and styles along with being confident around tradies.
**Asthe Office Manager some of your key areas of responsibility will include**:
- Administration -develop and improve systems for processing all work
- Develop and maintain paperless/IT-based filling system
- Manage telephone calls and inquiries and solve problems
- Project Management - Maintain records of the schedule of work with the management system
- Schedule meetings for the managers and help with their administration and projects
- Liaise with staff to ensure jobs are booked and requirements met
- Accounts Management - Accounts Payables
- Weekly collection calls for past-due balances and invoicing/ credit notes
- Payroll administration - Manage timesheets and make sure payroll ready for the pay run
- IRD filing - prepare GST returns to review
- HR - induction of new employees and day-to-day management of staff as required
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good time management skills
- Strong grammar, oral, and written skills
- Great customer service skills
- Previous administration experience
- Ability to work with a wide range of people and groups
- Ability to respond appropriately to cultural differences
- ** As this is a permanent role, those only with NZ Citizenship or permanent residency will be considered for this role
