- **We are looking for curriculum specialists in Te Marautanga o Aotearoa and the New Zealand Curriculum.**:

The Product Designer - Perspectives role sits at the heart of the Curriculum and Assessment Change Programme, a pivotal team within Te Poutāhū Curriculum Centre. This Programme thrives through collaboration with other Te Poutāhū business units, working together to ensure that the products and outcomes from these projects transition seamlessly into the business for ongoing delivery, maintenance, and support.
As a member of the Perspectives team, you will bring a unique focus on ensuring the design of curriculum products is inclusive, accessible, and aligned with diverse learning needs. Your role is vital in ensuring that all requirements reflective of the perspective lens in the Quality Criteria, and the Definition of Done are met, leaving no room for oversight in shaping the learning experience.
You’ll also take responsibility for quality assurance testing, ensuring that developed products meet the highest standards. By working closely with the various workstreams within the programme, you will help maintain alignment across the Programme, ensuring the delivery of a cohesive, future-ready curriculum for Aotearoa

To be successful in this role you will bring the following:
- Ability to build relationships and partnerships to achieve shared outcomes in a complex organisation.
- Work closely with internal teams, educators, iwi, communities and designers to ensure curriculum content reflects diverse perspectives and needs.
- Translate complex ideas into simple, meaningful discussions that bring people together and builds shared understanding.
- Ability to write clearly for a variety of audiences and communicate complex information simply
- Balance different priorities and perspectives, navigating competing needs by actively listening, finding common ground, and co-designing solutions that work for all.
- Champion inclusivity in decision making, ensure voices from diverse backgrounds, are included including cultural knowledge and competency to build relationships where needed.
- Facilitation experience in person and online.
- Understanding of educational change and implementation practices that will support teachers and students.
You will also offer:
- Knowledge and Understanding of The New Zealand Curriculum, Te Marautanga o Aotearoa and Te Whāriki.
- Knowledge of the NCEA Review of Achievement Standards
- A qualification in Education specialising in the primary and/or secondary sector.
- The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.
