Mō te tūnga | About the role
As a Product Designer, you will be responsible for ensuring the underpinning technical services of the products are supported, sustained and effectively managed throughout their lifecycle, and the customer remains at the centre of all product design
Working closely with the Service Management team, you will design the product service wrap that integrates with established ITIL processes. You will also negotiate service levels agreements between various stakeholders and establish the required support systems to deliver complete products to the organisation, working with a continuous assurance approach as part of an integrated approach to C&A processes
- You will have the ability to logically align, sequence and understand the importance of loosely coupled products, product components and service management components within a complex systems and services environment.
- You will take a standards based approach utilising existing product and service management building blocks where possible and identifying new ones if required. You will also work closely with other Product Designers to ensure alignment with other teams' product service design, ensuring that products will perform correctly in their environment.
- Within our Service Portfolios directorate, you will work closely with the Solution Designer, Domain Architect, and members of your Product Team, and other teams of the wider Defence Digital (including other partners agencies), to deliver systems and services that are compliant with the organisations standards, policy and security obligations.

A key part of the role involves engaging and collaborating with teams that manage infrastructure, platforms and Desktop services and service management to ensure holistic designs are optimised for current and future organisational need.
