Product Designer

**Who are we looking for?**
A key part of the product design team, you will have a significant impact on Vista’s digital experience, working with multiple teams to bring end-to-end experiences to customers across the Vista ecosystem.
Curios to understand the customer and the product, you’ll love visualising an experience in the abstract, diving into customer research and data, breaking down use cases, and driving the vision into product deliverables that masterfully combine user experience and design.
Making design decisions that have a real-world impact on cinema software users globally, your ideas, initiative, and attention to detail, will be a valuable asset to a design team that loves to have fun while delivering results.

The role*
Some of your responsibilities:

- Use UX research techniques and workshops to uncover key opportunities
- Facilitate and prepare usability testing, stakeholder interviews, user interviews, observational research, and help with UX workshops
- Create detailed diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes to communicate high-level design strategies and detailed interaction behaviours
- Support and enhance our design systems
- Design high fidelity mock-ups and interactive prototypes
- Clearly articulate design intention via documentation and handovers
- Assist teams with asset creation / creative
- Amalgamate customer needs, business requirements and user centred designs into viable practical and delightful solutions
- Collaborate with UX designers to evolve existing design patterns
- Translate product strategy, customer insight, analytics and executive direction into successful design direction, frameworks, prototypes and released products
- Present design work to internal and external stakeholders
- Help critique and guide design
- Mentor and inspire the team in aspects and tools, design and UX practice

Our UI/UX Product Designers work in Auckland and, collaborating with Product Directors, Engineers and BAs, work with our customers to deliver elegant solutions to the complex real-world problems that cinema operators face. **The Product Designer Role**
**We're looking for...**
- Industry proven experience designing solutions in a UI/UX or Product Designer role
- Ability to contribute to the strategic development of products from a design and user centred perspective
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
- High proficiency designing and prototyping with a variety of tools such as Sketch, InVision, Figma, Axure, XD
- An online portfolio and samples of work demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centred design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices
- Relevant tertiary qualification in technology-based design, HCI or equivalent

- Be confident managing multiple projects simultaneously with excellent time management
- Own and drive the design process by independently defining requirements, scoping projects, and prioritizing tasks
- Demonstrate an understanding of visual design hierarchy, typography, iconography, and layout with ability to produce fresh, simple, elegant, and exceedingly usable layouts and interaction
- Develop and maintain good professional working relationships with people at all levels across the company
- Work independently with mínimal direction
- Have attention to detail, a genuine care about craftsmanship and a good sense of humour
