The Skills & Development Training Manager will ensure that the training programmes are developed to be inclusive, culturally responsive and encompass Pacifica pedagogy and methodologies. Courses will align to the needs & requirements of the 9 Pacific labour sending countries.

The appointing salary for this role will be between $82,500 and $92,500, dependent on skills and experience.

The Skills & Development Training Manager is based in our Business Relationship Unit | Te Pūkenga reporting to the RSE Operations Manager and will be responsible for:

- **Course Development and Delivery**: Develop and design comprehensive courses for the RSW Training Programme, ensuring alignment with academic documents, institutional policies, and compliance requirements.
- **Cultural Sensitivity and Continuous Improvement**: Ensure training materials are culturally appropriate, regularly update and improve skills training materials, and incorporate new tools and methodologies.
- **Stakeholder Collaboration and Professional Development**: Foster positive relationships with stakeholders, lead facilitator training and professional development workshops, and manage program evaluation and improvements.
- **Budget and Resource Management**: Ensure programs are developed within budget constraints, maintain costed workplans, and manage resources effectively.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- **Educational Background and Experience**: A Bachelor's degree in education or Pacific studies (Master's preferred) and a minimum of 5 years' experience in curriculum development, skills training, or vocational education, preferably in a Pacific context.
- **Cultural Competence and Advocacy**: Strong understanding of Pacific labour markets and skills development, knowledge of Pacifica Cultural Intelligence frameworks, and a commitment to promoting equity and cultural safety.
- **Technical and Digital Proficiency**: Familiarity with online learning platforms and digital learning tools, along with a strong understanding of the NZQF framework and vocational pathways.
- **Communication and Networking Skills**: Excellent communication skills in both a Pasifika language and English, proven networking abilities, and a strong understanding of adult learning principles and quality assurance frameworks.
