We are seeking an experienced and proven Night Shift Manager to join our highly trained team at our ZIWI Awatoto, Napier.

Our state-of-the-art processing super kitchen is one of the largest pet food manufacturing facilities in New Zealand. Equipped with the latest processing technology, it enables the development of innovative product lines and supports ZIWI’s position as a global leader in pet food.

The site operates 24/7 on a 4 on / 4 off, 12-hour shift roster. This role is for the night shift (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM), managing a team of 15 operators and 2 team leaders.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Actively managing the people, production flow, health and safety, product quality and performance on your shift team
- Ensuring the shift production team follow ZIWI’s operational processes and procedures
- Driving a positive work environment with a focus on health, safety and quality.
- Supporting the proactive training and development of employees
- The Shift Manager has a critical role on site and has overall responsibility for the successful operation of the production shift - reporting directly to the Site Manager.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Proven experience in a similar leadership role, within a relevant FMCG/food production environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of machinery, maintenance, production processes, lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- An understanding of ERP/Inventory systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
- A confident, approachable manner and flexibility to cope with change.
