Senior Systems Administrator, full time, up to $82,000 with excellent benefits

**Your new company**

Large Public Organisation based in Wellington, searching for a Senior Systems Engineer to join their Team of IT professionals and help support their Desktop Infrastructure.

**Your new role**

You will be coming in as a Systems Administrator with a focus on capabilities of the desktop environment (desktop, network, hardware, asset management and telephony). This will include providing maintenance and upgrades on critical infrastructure and help deliver projects when needed.

**Your full responsibilities**:

- Lead all client desktop tasks
- Managing a standard operating environment and proactively looking at ways to improve the environment for our desktop clients.
- Work collaboratively and commutatively with all employees and contractors
- Gather requirements and all information for all escalated issues.
- Accurately capture all information or requirements for further investigation in the case of escalation.
- Support the Infrastructure Manager.
- Provide training support to end users.
- Hardware & software asset management, configuration, deployment.
- Mobile device management.
- Network and telephone management
- Assist with software installations and upgrades as well as troubleshooting and problem-solving, and monitoring network and system uptime.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful for this role, you will need to have previous experience as a Systems Administrator who has worked in a senior position, looking after more complex issues and escalations whilst working within a larger team.
- Experience working with Vendors to resolve technical problems within hardware and software and have a technical understanding of the following:

- Microsoft Windows, Office365, Azure & Teams;
- PC hardware, servers and network infrastructure;
- Common office equipment (e.g. printers, scanners, projectors, etc);
- Mobile technology (Android & iOS);
- Multi-Factor Authentication technology;
- Security patching and proactive maintenance;
- Group Policy management; and
- Active Directory, DNS & DHCP.
