- The Government Property Office is accountable for the strategic leadership of the government's office accommodation portfolio and provisioning for the centralisation of components of the government's property function. _
- The Government Property Office is also responsible for delivering on MBIE's own property strategy as well as providing high-quality property management services to MBIE. The government's office accommodation portfolio is significant, encompassing circa 1,000,000 sqm of office space and a rental spend of circa $330 million per year across 73 agencies, including Crown Agents. MBIE is an agency with a significant property portfolio, encompassing both office and non-office sites, across New Zealand and offshore._
**Tenei turanga - About the Role**:
The Senior Systems Administrator reports to the Lead Advisor Property Information and Performance in the Government Property Office. The Senior Systems Administrator is instrumental in maintaining the day-to-day operations of the Government Property Portal. This position is the interface for agency users access to the systems that are managed by the team and is responsible to continually review user access controls and security configurations.
This position works across the Government property system to ensure users of the Government Property Portal are trained and supported to use the system, best practice is followed, and technical system issues and outages are managed effectively.
The Senior Systems Administrator works in partnership with the MBIE ICT development team, Datacom and other vendors if required, to ensure the efficient operation of the Portal and the systems it integrates with. The Senior Systems Administrator will oversee, lead and implement ongoing training and induction of new and existing users of the Portal. This position works closely with the Senior Product Manager Property.

- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
