Conservation Partnership Builder

We're seeking a skilled Senior Partnerships Specialist to join our Community Conservation and Engagement team within the Environmental Services department. This is a fixed-term, full-time opportunity covering a 10-month contract, with the contract set to conclude by February 2026 at the latest. In this role, you'll be instrumental in securing private and philanthropic partnerships that support positive environmental outcomes across Tāmaki Makaurau. You'll identify, secure and grow strategic partnerships that increase investment in Auckland's natural environment, aligning with council's long-term conservation goals. Your work will directly support the delivery of environmental projects and programmes, creating lasting benefits for communities, ecosystems and future generations.
Your Key Strengths
You will bring:Proven experience in securing funding or investment through partnerships with a strategic mindset and the ability to identify new opportunities and align interests.Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.Creative problem-solving abilities to develop tailored partnership solutions.A relevant qualification or experience in business, marketing, communications, conservation, sustainability or commerce.A full and clean NZ Drivers' License.
