**Job Description**

The Department of Conservation is responsible for protecting and restoring nature across Aotearoa. As a Conservation Partnership Lead, you will play a key role in building and maintaining positive relationships with whanau, hapu, iwi, fostering collaboration and resolving conflicts professionally.

You will support coordination of regular meetings with whanau, hapu and iwi to develop, review and amend implementation of relevant agreements, charters and protocols. You will also identify gaps in Treaty settlement implementation responsibilities across the District and work with the Operations team to plan for and remedy gaps.

We are looking for someone who has strong proficiency in computer systems and databases, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies. Knowledge of te reo me ona tikanga Maori, supporting cultural understanding and partnership development is also essential.
