Mercy Hospice is committed to enhancing clinical services and delivering exceptional care to our patients. As part of this commitment, we are seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist – Māori Health to join our team.
About the RoleThis new position has been created to further acknowledge our responsibilities to Te Triti o Waitangi and to improve access for Māori patients. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape their role and be innovative in palliative care with a specialist focus on Māori Health and advocacy.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement clinical strategies to improve patient outcomes
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care
- Cultivate relationships with patients and whānau to ensure their needs are met
The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical and cultural leadership skills, with a keenness to work at the top of their scope. They will also have experience in palliative care or a similar field, with a solid understanding of Māori culture and values.
