Opportunity Overview:

This permanent position offers a unique opportunity for personal and professional growth and development in a supportive senior nursing team environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and support to patients and their whanau during their oncology treatment, working collaboratively with Radiation and Medical Oncology multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care through effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Develop and maintain expertise in GI Oncology nursing practice
  • Contribute to the development of a supportive senior nursing team culture

Requirements:

  • A commitment to biculturalism
  • A commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Māori
  • A current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
  • Minimum Level 3 preferably Level 4 practice chemotherapy certified RN with a strong oncology nursing background
  • Expert clinical knowledge and leadership skills
  • Post-graduate qualifications, preferably to master's level with a focus on NP or prescribing pathways
  • An innovative mindset and ability to network with different stakeholders
