Auckland District Health Board is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Specialist to provide clinical leadership and support to patients and their whanau during their oncology treatment.

This role involves working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide care to patients based in Auckland, regionally at our local delivery sites, and into community settings as the service expands.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing professional and clinical leadership to support nursing teams
  • Prioritizing workload and working as part of a supportive senior nursing team
  • Ensuring excellent clinical care can flourish

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A commitment to biculturalism
  • A commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Maori
  • Minimum Level 3 preferably Level 4 practice chemotherapy certified RN with a strong oncology nursing background
  • Expert clinical knowledge and leadership skills
  • Postgraduate qualifications, preferably to master's level with a focus on NP or prescribing pathways
  • An innovative mindset and ability to network with different stakeholders
  • The ability to work effectively and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams

You will also be competent in the use of IT systems, such as Microsoft Excel and various local databases, and able to travel to regional sites.
