Job Description
The Oncology Nurse Specialist GI provides clinical leadership and support to patients and their whanau during the oncology treatment journey. This role involves working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional and clinical leadership to nursing teams
- Prioritise workload and work effectively within senior nursing teams
- Support excellent clinical care and decision-making
Requirements
- A commitment to biculturalism
- A commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Maori
- A current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
- Minimum Level 3, preferably Level 4 practice chemotherapy certified RN with strong oncology nursing background
- Expert clinical knowledge and leadership skills
- Postgraduate qualifications, preferably to master's level with a focus on NP or prescribing pathways
