Role Overview

Te Whatu Ora Wairarapa is seeking an experienced Speech-language Therapist to join our Allied Health Team. This fixed-term, full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality clinical care to clients.

About the Role

This role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess and manage acute presentations and longstanding impairments. You will contribute to discharge planning and provide ongoing intervention to support individuals to remain as functional as possible in their homes and communities.

  • We have close links with regional and national SLT networks.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assess and manage acute presentations and longstanding impairments.
  2. Contribute to discharge planning.
  3. Provide ongoing intervention to support individuals to remain as functional as possible in their homes and communities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • You will be registered with the New Zealand Speech-language Therapists' Association and hold a current practising certificate.
  • You will have solid experience across adult and paediatric general health settings.
  • You will be a flexible and enthusiastic clinician, who thrives in a team environment.

Benefits

This is a fixed-term, full-time position working 80 hours (1.0 FTE) per fortnight, Monday - Friday. We welcome enquiries from those looking for part-time opportunities as well.
