We are seeking a Speech-Language Therapist (SLT) to join our multidisciplinary team of 18 therapists who work with paediatric and adult caseloads in various settings. The SLT team at Wellington Regional Hospital is comprised of 11 therapists, supported by a team leader and a professional leader. As a member of this team, you will be required to diagnose and treat adult patients with communication and swallowing disorders. Your caseload may include acute adult inpatients with medical and surgical diagnoses.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience working with adults with acquired communication and swallowing disorders, preferably in an acute inpatient setting. However, we also consider candidates who demonstrate sound clinical reasoning, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. You will be able to effectively manage your time and prioritise tasks while maintaining strong relationships with colleagues and patients.
