In this role, you will work closely with the clinical team to assess and manage acute presentations and longstanding impairments, contribute to discharge planning, and provide ongoing intervention to support people to remain as functional as possible in their homes and communities.If you have a passion for working with clients to maximise communication and assess/manage swallow impairments across a range of clinical areas (acute medical, rehabilitation, and paediatrics) in a secondary hospital setting, this is the role you have been waiting for.
Our speech-language therapy team is a small, dynamic team that is well supported by the allied health and multidisciplinary teams and has close links with regional and national SLT networks.Qualifications RequiredYou will be registered with the New Zealand Speech-language Therapists' Association and hold a current practising certificate.Have solid experience across adult and paediatric general health settings.You will be a flexible and enthusiastic clinician, who thrives in a team environment.You will focus on delivering the best possible clinical care for clients.This is a fixed-term, full-time position working 80 hours (1.0 FTE) per fortnight, Monday - Friday.
