Job Description

The Justice Guardian: Ensuring a Secure Court Experience role is a critical component of our efforts to maintain a safe and secure environment within the court premises.

Main Responsibilities
  • Build relationships with diverse groups of people and provide excellent customer service.
  • Screen individuals entering the court, operate CCTV systems, and maintain electronic access control systems.
  • Collaborate with other agencies to ensure smooth court proceedings.
  • Perform security checks, patrol public areas, and respond to duress alarm activations.
Essential Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with technology, including CCTV systems and electronic access control systems.
  • Ability to de-escalate conflicts and provide first-class customer service.
  • Physical ability to engage in full contact Officer safety training.
  • Possession of a full, clean New Zealand driver's licence and a clean criminal record.
