Landscaping and Gardening Expert

Hamilton City Council is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Groundsperson to join our team on a permanent basis working full time Tuesday to Saturday. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the beauty of Hamilton Gardens' extensive gardens and landscapes, completing a routine maintenance schedule across the Gardens to specifications, and interacting with visitors, providing exceptional customer service, and sharing your knowledge about the space.
About the Role:
As part of our Hamilton Gardens Operations team, you'll work collaboratively with other staff members to maintain our lawns and water features, ensure the grounds and facilities are presented to a high standard for our local and international visitors, and set up traffic management to ensure safety of crews working near our roading network.
Key Requirements:
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- STMS qualifications an advantage.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work a weekend roster required.
- NZ/Australian citizenship or permanent residency required.
- Valid and full NZ Driver's Licence required.
