Job Description:
This exciting opportunity is for a skilled Development Engineer II to join our pioneering team. As a key member, you'll contribute to pioneering advancements in aerospace technology, taking ownership of product maintenance and embracing a role focused on either design or testing as assigned by management. You'll have autonomy to conduct independent engineering tasks, potentially overseeing products in a responsible capacity.

Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing or testing specification responsibility for existing products or new developments as assigned by management
  • Engineering BOM responsibility and its workflow with applicable software for new products or existing products (for components and assemblies)
  • Communicating the design for manufacturing purposes, including materials, GD&T, and unique design specifications using drawings and referenced information/standards
  • Planning, communicating, and verifying R&D, qualification, and acceptance test requirements of the product using relevant engineering documents
  • Verifying design meeting company requirements in conjunction with analysis, manufacturing, testing, and operations teams
  • Defining necessary operating, testing, maintenance, repair, calibration, and environmental care information for responsible products

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A degree in aerospace, mechanical, or mechatronic engineering, or equivalent
  • JAMA, EBOM, and Workflow experience is favorable
  • Proven CAD and engineering drawings experience (NX)
  • A proven track record of individually delivering complete and successful engineering projects from conception to operation
  • Experience working with one or more of the analysis types below to solve industry-related problems applicable to rockets: structural static and/or non-linear analysis, modal and/or frequency domain analysis, computational fluid dynamics analysis, heat transfer or thermal analysis, fatigue and/or creep analysis, DFMEA, and/or PFMEA analysis
