Electron is one of the world's most frequently-launched rockets, and our team behind its success are diligent, move fast, and have each others' back to deliver a reliable rocket to the launch pad time and time again.DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER IIJoin Rocket Lab as a Development Engineer II, where you'll take ownership of product maintenance and embrace a role focused on either design or testing as assigned by management.
As an Engineer II, you'll have the autonomy to conduct independent engineering tasks and potentially oversee products in the capacity of a responsible engineer.
You'll also play a key role in our decision-making process, escalating or reviewing risk, cost, or quality-based decisions to ensure optimal outcomes.
Be a part of our innovative team and contribute to pioneering advancements in aerospace technology.WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:Design or test specification responsibility for existing products or new developments as assigned by management to meet company requirementsEngineering BOM responsibility and its workflow with applicable software for new products or existing product (for components and assemblies)Responsible for communication of the design for manufacturing purposes including materials, GD&T and unique design specifications by using drawings and appropriately referenced information/standardsResponsible for planning, communication and verification of R&D, qualification and acceptance test requirements of the product by using relevant engineering documentsResponsible for verification of design meeting company requirements in conjunction with analysis, manufacturing, testing and operations teams.Responsible for product operation, lifecycle and maintenance by defining the necessary operating, testing, maintenance, repair, calibration, and environmental care information for responsible productYOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:Degree in aerospace, mechanical, or mechatronic engineering, or equivalent.JAMA, EBOM and Workflow (Teamcenter, Jira) experience favourable.Proven CAD and engineering drawings (NX) experienceProven track record of individually delivering a complete and successful engineering project from conception to operationExperience working with one or more of the analysis types below to solve industry related problems applicable to rockets:Structural static and/or non-linear analysisModal and/or frequency domain analysisComputational fluid dynamics analysisHeat transfer or thermal analysisFatigue and/or creep analysisDFMEA and/or PFMEA analysisDMAIC and/or fishbone analysisReady to play your role in Aerospace?
