About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Executive Assistant to join our team at the Parliamentary precinct in Wellington for 30 hours per week.

The successful candidate will be responsible for actively managing critical administrative functions for the MP, including diary management, scheduling, travel booking, meeting preparation and minute taking, coordinating administrative activities, and responding to correspondence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the smooth operation of the MP's office by providing administrative support.
  • Plan and coordinate the MP's diary and ensure the schedule is followed and any changes are managed promptly, with minimal disruption to the MP.
  • Ensure the MP is always well briefed for each engagement in the diary.
  • Respond to correspondence and emails, escalate correspondence when required.
  • Coordinate administrative activities in the MP's office including those for meetings, functions and events, including overseeing the collation of invitations, and arrangement of facilities and catering.
