At the Southern District Health Board, we are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Oncologist to join our team at Dunedin Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary cancer treatment team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and provide expert care in the management of various tumour streams.

About the Role:

  • This is an exciting opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art radiation therapy department with three linear accelerators, delivering over 1500 courses of radiation therapy per year.
  • You will be part of a close-knit team with strong ties to the University of Otago, providing opportunities for research, teaching, and mentorship.
  • The successful candidate will have experience caring for patients with head and neck cancers and gynaecological cancers, and be willing to provide clinical care across other tumour streams.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists or equivalent.
  • Eligibility for vocational or Locum Tenens registration in Radiation Oncology with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
