We are seeking an experienced Radiation Oncologist to join our team at Dunedin Hospital, providing clinical care and expertise in cancer treatment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical care for patients with head and neck cancers, gynaecological cancers, and other tumour streams
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Engage in teaching and mentorship opportunities with medical students and junior staff
  • Participate in research and development activities within the department

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent qualification
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists or equivalent
  • Eligibility for vocational or Locum Tenens registration in Radiation Oncology with the Medical Council of New Zealand

About Us

We have three linear accelerators delivering over 1500 courses of radiation therapy per year, supported by tertiary specialties and providing the NZ cranial stereotactic radiosurgery service. We use Brainlab and Monaco planning systems, and have an established research group involved in both radiation and systemic therapy trials.
