**Job Overview**
We are looking for an experienced and passionate individual to join our team as an Aukaha Te Aho Tui Tikanga. This role will involve leading and guiding tikanga within the takiwa, ensuring all interactions involving kaimahi and key stakeholders are carried out appropriately.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement strategies to strengthen and uphold the integrity and advancement of Tikanga Maori and Ahuatanga Maori within Te Wananga o Aotearoa.
- Collaborate with iwi and community groups to ensure that our operations, culture, and relationships reflect the diversity of korero, Matauranga, and tikanga specific to regions within each takiwa.
- Provide guidance and support to kaimahi on the interpretation and application of cultural practices in iwi and community engagements.
**Requirements**
- Demonstrated expertise in tikanga Maori and ahuatanga Maori, including experience in treaty negotiations and policy development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credibility and rapport easily with others.
- Fluent te reo Maori skills, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results.
