About the Role

Ngati Manuhiri Settlement Trust is seeking a highly organised individual to join their team as an Administration Assistant. In this role, you will support governance, membership services, and all day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage phone and email communications, ensuring professional and timely responses.
  2. Assist with governance meeting preparation and document management.
  3. Support event coordination, general office tasks, and membership database maintenance.
  4. Provide hospitality and logistical support for hui and engagements.
  5. Provide back up support to the Apiha Whakarite and ability to take the lead from time to time.

What You Will Need

Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively. Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and professionalism. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team. High level of accuracy and confidentiality in all aspects of work. Knowledge of tikanga Maori and some proficiency in Te Reo Maori (essential). High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and digital administrative tools.
