**Job Description**

We are currently seeking a qualified Chemical Pathologist to join our team. As a Chemical Pathologist, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting chemical pathology test reporting and validation

• Implementing new tests and developing laboratory procedures

• Mentoring and training biochemistry scientific staff

• Providing clinical governance and ensuring quality control

The ideal candidate will have experience with specialist testing, particularly MS/MS testing, toxicology, and endocrine disorders. A strong focus on quality and informatics is also essential.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

  • Eligibility for vocational registration with the New Zealand Medical Council (FRCPA or equivalent)
  • Experience with specialist testing (advantageous)
  • Strong knowledge of lipid disorders and interest in test development
  • Quality focus and commitment to excellence
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
