About the Role

The successful candidate will be involved in chemical pathology test reporting, validation, and implementation of new tests, mentoring and training of biochemistry scientific staff and clinical governance.

As a Chemical Pathologist at Canterbury Health Laboratories, you would also have the opportunity to undertake lipid clinics and participate in research projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Eligible for vocational registration with the New Zealand Medical Council - FRCPA or equivalent
  • An interest in lipid disorders would be an advantage
  • Experience with specialist testing advantage – e.g. MS/MS testing, toxicology, endocrine
  • Specialist interest and test development encouraged
  • Quality focus
  • Interest in informatics
