Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Medical Officer to join our team at Waikato Hospital. As a rural hospital, we offer a unique opportunity to provide quality care to our diverse community.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver proficient preventive, therapeutic, and diagnostic interventions effectively
  2. Perform procedural skills, both diagnostic and therapeutic in a proficient manner
  3. Seek appropriate consultation from health professionals based at our tertiary hospital within the boundary of your expertise

Requirements:

  • FACEM or Fellow of the Division of Rural Hospital Medicine or overseas equivalent
  • Eligibility for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
  • Experience in, or passion for, providing quality care to our rural and disadvantaged communities
